Therapist to Therapist

As a therapist for over 20 years, I can help you navigate clinical questions and challenges, deepen your work with clients, and develop your clinical thinking.

Consultation can be a place to slow down and think together about a particular client or therapeutic process. We can explore what may be happening beneath the surface, consider patterns in the therapeutic relationship, and pay attention to your own experience of the client as a source of clinical understanding.

I have a particular interest in helping therapists integrate a Christian anthropology into their understanding of clients and their struggles. This may include thinking about the whole person—their relationships, development, desires, wounds, strengths, and spiritual life—and how these dimensions inform the therapeutic work.

My clinical background includes psychodynamic and depth-oriented work, as well as training in EMDR, Relationship Enhancement Therapy, and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy. These perspectives can inform consultation when relevant to the questions you bring.

Areas for Consultation

  • Case conceptualization and clinical formulation

  • Understanding patterns in the therapeutic relationship

  • Developing a more psychodynamic or depth-oriented approach

  • Using your own experience of a client to inform clinical thinking

  • Integrating Christian anthropology and faith into clinical work

  • Navigating challenging clinical situations or treatment impasses

Consultation is available for therapists seeking an opportunity to think carefully and collaboratively about their work.
